RAKs & Make and Takes

A quick post before I go to sleep! Can't wait til Thursday since it will be 3-day weekend! :) Btw, this saturday 3/27 is the rubber stamp show at blaisdell 10-4 pm I believe. Time to go broke! :O Anyways, I forgot to share the lovely RAKs I received from Denise's gathering last weekend! Every RAK
was so unique and I was so amazed...plus it was my first time meeting crafters like this! Awesome!

Here are the make and takes we did...

I'm so in love with the basket!

Also, this past weekend I was glad I finally got to go to Taj Clubhouse again to do their make and take! They usually use their embossing stencils for their M & T's. Super cute stuff!

It was cool how it folds and the demonstrator, I think her name is Kristi (?), taught me how to make the bow on the front! I know everyone elses knows how, but me, I just learned this past saturday to do it nicely! TFL! Thanks everyone for visiting and keeping me motivated!

Easter Baskets

My mom asked me to make treat holders for her co-workers for Easter this year. I told her I'll make it if she buys the stuff to put inside! :) Not too bad, had to make 9. I actually learned how to do this as a make and take at the craft gathering at Denise's last weekend. Tutorial can be found at splitcoaststampers.com. It is simple, yet super cute! But wow, it took me awhile to put it together! Still practicing. I told my mom to help cut some but some is crooked. :) That's okay. I'm happy anyways. I thought I'd start early because things always come up and I don't want to scramble at the last minute...like I usually do! Yikes! I made three designs...

Here's one up close...

and all 9...

Get Well Soon...

My grandma asked me to make her a card from her for my bf since he just got out of surgery. (it is not serious, but still not something I would want to go through! :( ) I had a hard time again doing a masculine card! Plus I didn't have any "get well soon" sentiment stamps and I didn't want to print any so I just used "thinking of you". And I thought it would be a great chance to use this monkey stamp from Whipper Snapper designs...especially cause he is the one who picked it out/got for me from Cute Stuff! Honestly, at first I didn't really like the monkeys but I kind of do now! Haha. So glad tomorrow is Friday and glad the next 2 Fridays are holidays for me! whoo hoo! hope you guys have it off too! Have a great weekend everyone!

Geisha Cross Stitch

I'm sad I haven't had time to make cards lately...I see everyone's beautiful cards and I wish I could keep up! :) Besides paper crafting, I love to cross stitch!! Even though it's not the best, I thought I'd share my geisha cross stitch just because it was my first one so my mistakes can be excused! The most obvious mistake is that I didn't know you were supposed to work from the middle. I started at the edge so that's why you can see in the frame at the bottom that it is not straight...it's because there wasn't even aida (name of the cross stitch canvas) to pull. In the square I put my initials and the year that I finished! I know it's been awhile...on a good note, I'm almost finished with another one that I'm working on for my grandma for Mother's Day!

and here's a close up! TFL!

Post-it Note Holders

I finally got to meet some local crafters this past weekend! Fun fun! I decided to make post-it holders because I have so many of them! I just browsed on google for a tutorial! One day I'll be able to make up my own stuff! I thought I'd be nice to put their first initial on too. Here they are all together...

Here's on up close

and the inside...

TFL! Slowly getting used to making things in groups! (ex. more than 1!)

Just a quick post to share a few cards one of my friends made for me. A couple of them were from last year for my birthday and halloween. The weekend went by super fast! Had fun meeting some crafters!

Hawaiian Thank You

I recently won my first blog candy from 1luvnmama!. I remember I was busy that weekend and if she didn't email me about it, I wouldn't have known! So thanks for letting me know! Here's what I won! I'm excited to try it out!

I decided to make her a thank you card to show my appreciation for a great blog candy! I used the Hula Anya and I had the hardest time thinking of what to do! Losing my mojo! This is what I got! TFL!

Doggie Birthday!

Hello! I finally had some time to do a challenge. I miss doing challenges! Keeps me motivated to keep making cards! I followed a sketch from Mojo Monday! I love all of their sketches and they're easy to follow! Between cats and dogs, I've always loved cats, but no one I know really likes them! :( I know a lot of people with dogs and maybe only a couple with cats. And probably in the future I'll get one because my bf wants a dog over a cat! So for my card, I used Dandelion Design's dog with cupcake stamp! I guess I have to admit dogs are cute, but I'm only going to settle for a small and cute dog! :) I'm starting to like the pink and brown color combo! And I tried to sponge the edges. My first time so I still gotta practice!

Simple Birthday Card

My grandma asked to make a birthday card for my uncle. I totally had no idea what to do! I ended up just looking for patterned paper that looked manly and used my spellbinder nestabilities on top of the patterned paper. Then used a Happy Birthday stamp! She liked it and even though I thought it was plain, she said it could have been more plain since it was for a guy! haha! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Goes by too fast!

Baby Shower Favors

This is what I've been working on for the past 2 weeks...baby shower favors! It didn't take the whole 2 weeks to do, just the process of thinking of it,planning, and actually putting it together. It all started when my co-worker was planning a shower for my other co-worker who was due the end of March. She wanted to have a potluck lunch and I'm not good with food so I suggested I make favors! I thought it'd be a good chance to see if I know how to mass produce! Turned out I had to make 35 favors! I actually looked around online and decided to do the chocolate nuggets. Man, I just finished everything like a couple days before! I was so determined! I was busy the whole weekend last week, so I was thankful my mom and grandma helped me cut the 105 strips I needed for the nuggets and they ran it through the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder for me!

Here is the front...

And the back...with my personal stamp!

Here's all 35!

*The funny thing was that it was for March 4 and when I went to work that morning, I was informed she gave birth that same morning around 1 a.m.! But we still ate the food for the potluck! :) There were some extra favors so someone is going get it to her in time for her other shower that was planned with her family. Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Girl's Day!

Happy Girl's Day everyone! So sad I didn't get to post for awhile! Didn't get to craft this past weekend even though I had things I needed to get done....I'll post those soon! But today I wanted to share something I made for girl's day. I thought it was a little crazy because I already had something else I needed to finish, but when I saw this on  Dandelion's blog and I just had to try it! I made the measurements a little bigger because I used the See's candies lollipops! And it would've been nicer if I had more time but I thought it came out okay for doing it in little over an hour! I told myself I wanted to try to start making things for people for every little holiday/occasion!...I think except St. patty's day!....not really a big fan! :) TFL! Hope everyone's having a great week!
